a little more from Thanksgiving and the Jazz Game

My parents have season tickets to the Jazz games and whenever we go up there we try to steal them away for a night. We were able to go when they played the Kings and kicked butt. It was such an awesome game and so much fun to actually be able to watch. At home the kids keep me pretty distracted.
I made Wes take this picture he was not happy about it.
Here I am with Stockton!

Okay so we would never ever buy anything that matches...that just isn't our style but my mom and dad forced us to wear their hoodies because they think it is really fun to dress up for the games. I think this is the only picture that will ever be taken of us matching.

Wes and Skyla after Skyla woke up on Thanksgiving.

Some of the grandkids playing together. Skyla and Kambry love all their cousins and have so much fun together.

It's been way too long

We had an amazing Thanksgiving up north with my family. I was very anxious to get up north to see my dad after he had his heart attack. I was glad that he seemed to be okay from everything and I was even able to go out on a walk with him. He is a strong person and he is dedicating himself to a healthier lifestyle so he can stick around for his family. I am so thankful for my family and feel so blessed to have a wonderful husband and the most amazing kids ever!
Wes after eating way too much!
Wes was the last one at the table of course!

The only picture we got of us together on Thanksgiving....

We let Kambry chow down on some mash potatos while we ate. Of course she loved the potatos just like she loves everything else.
Skyla took a nap the whole entire meal. I felt bad that she missed out on all the goods on one of the first Thanksgivings she might remember. I did teach her to say when asked what she is thankful for to say her mommy and daddy.

Skyla and Kambry relaxing together. It never lasts very long..Skyla likes to torment her a little too much. It gets stressful as they get older since they want the same toys a lot but it is sooooo much fun watching them grow up and change together...I really hope that they will be best friends throughout their lives.

A busy month!

I really didn't want to get SKyla out of the crib...but I decided that it was time...so we bought her a princess bed and had to put it all together...it was very annoying...and I really wish I had left her in her crib....I hate that she can get out and climb into my bed in the middle of the night....I am actually tempted to put her back in it...but she really does love it and I won't do that to her just because I want my sleep....
I love this picture of SKyla because it looks like she was totally trying to pick my nose...
Kambry is now 6 months old and I can't believe how fast it has gone by she is in the 90th for her height and weight at 17.2 lbs and 28 inches long...she can sit up and make lots of cute noises and I can tell crawling isn't too far away...She is one strong cookie.
So Wes is a really good sport with his daughters....I let Skyla paint my toenails and she really wanted to do Wes's...I generally say no he is a boy you don't paint boys...but we decided to be sneaky and get Wes while he was busy watching sports center....and he had no idea she even painted them....but after he found out he let her do his other foot.
This is a picture of our feet after Skyla painted them all by herself...she actually does a pretty good job and would even wipe away the extra polish if it got on our skin.
So I got my haircut and stuff...I relaly never can find time to go do my hair so it is rare....I made Wes watch the girls during the first half of the BYU game and went to the salon...it was so nice to have a break and be able to come home and see the second half...but of course they were already kicking butt and I really didn't watch to much of the game.
Just another picture of my hair....

We have been so busy this month with work and school and our new proctor son Frank...We really haven't had too much time to do anything amazing....just enjoying the last part of summer by going to parks and various water fountains......

I just want it to be over already!!!

SO at the family reunion we went to over the weekend at my parents house they had rented a Jump house and we had sooo much fun with it!!!
Skyla wanted to play in it until the last minute it was up...I let her stay up late that night to enjoy it...In the morning when she woke up she ran to see if it was still in the backyard and was sad when it was gone and said somebody popped the jump house....I love it now how she will come up with her own explanations as to why things are the way they are....
Skyla loves to play dress up with her cousin Lexi...whenever we go up north she wants to go to Lexis and play on her swings and with her princess clothes....can I say Christmas Present in the makings....
Ok...so Kambry lost all her hair that she had when she was a baby!!! She is so stinkin cute all the time though and such a good baby...She also loves her baby oatmeal!!! I am excited for a few more weeks to start her on the other kinds of baby foods......SHe makes me so happy because she is such a happy and content little girl! I am so excited that her little personality is starting to shine through!!!

SO I can't believe it but in 4 hopefully short months we will be college graduates!!! I just want it to be over and not do the last 4 classes I am taking this semester!!! My line up is STATS...which I am terrified about....My senior thesis paper class....GEOLOGY 3100 or Natural Disasters and my internship class..............I definately have senioritis...lol......but am looking forward to moving on and possibly going on for a masters in social work..........anyways.......

In other news we are going to be having our first proctor kid move in with us his name is Frank and he is 17 years old and a senior in high school.....I hope we can really help him out and guide him in the right direction....I am really excited to take on this challenge and welcome him into our family!!!

I also can't believe summer is basically over with already!!! We have had so much fun this summer and I really don't know what I am going to do when it gets too cold to go outside!!! Well I know that I will be watching hours upon hours of football and basketball games.....lol...

A Fun Weekend!

We hardly ever get to have pictures of us taken together..mainly because I hate asking people to do it that I don't know and Wes hates getting pictures taken...but we ran into a friend of ours who took one for us!
Skyla played the duck game...the one where everyone is a winner and she could have had a big prize but instead she chose out the crown which was a small prize...
We had so much fun at the lake!! Skyla absolutely loved playing in the sand and swimming in the water she had a lot of fun throwing the mud on everyone we were with!
This is about as close as we got Skyla to riding on the tube....but we had fun relaxing on it!
Wes got to hold Kambry while SKyla and I had a mud fight!
We also went to the Washington county fair! It was a lot of fun we played a few of the games and won a couple of prizes for the kids...
Wes got to push the limo stroller all night....He was a good sport to do it and I was glad i didn't have to!

Fun times with the Parents

Wes and I before watching Les Miserables at Tuachan
My wonderful and amazing parents who came and stayed with us over the weekend...it was so much fun having them here! My girls love my parents and really love it when they come and stay it is so much fun...We got to have a long night out with my parents while Wes's parents watched the girls...it was the longest I had left the baby yet and it is really hard for me to leave her for a while...anyone who nurses knows how hard it can be for the people watching the baby...

4 years and ears pierced

So on the 17th we celebrated 4 amazing years of marriage....we spent the day just being with each other and we got a babysitter to go out to dinner and a movie...we saw Hancock and thought it was really funny! I honestly can not believe it has been 4 years since we were married...time really flys by when you are having fun! Wes is such a great husband and an amazing father he supports me in every decision and is always there to listen to me...we honestly have never ever been in a fight and have the most perfect marriage being married is the easiest thing in the world when you are with your soul mate!!! HA HA.....

So onto the next topic I was highly debating on whether or not I should let my daughters choose for themselves when they got older to pierce their ears or not....well we were at the mall and kinda got curious on how they would react if we were to pierce their ears and well...we just did it... and surprisingly they were both really good for it! so now both my girls have pierced ears and I couldn't be happier they are soooo cute and I wish I would have done Skyla's when she was a baby!!

The 4th and swimming

So this is part of the waterfall and river my parents put in their yard. Skyla loved it and had so much fun playing in it when we were up there.
Skyla eating ice cream with some of her cousins on my side after exhausting themselves playing in the river and waterfall. Grandpa "Stale" as Skyla calls him also set up a bunch of sprinklers and made a water park for all the kids it was really fun.
4th of July fun! Skyla with the girl cousins on Wes's side. You can't totally tell that we cut their shirts and tied them up the sides as well as cut the necks out...Wes's parents got a great deal on the outfits but the shirt was just way too big and needed some style...so that is why it is her shirt is off the shoulder.
Kambry's first time in the pool...We have gone swimming almost everyday this summer but I have never dared to take Kambry in the water or just have 2 kids in the water but she is almsot 4 months old and needed to experience it and she loved it and didn't cry at all!

Wes with the girls at the pool....He is so good with them!
4th of July fun...Skyla was terrified of the fireworks that we lit off on the streets and made me go inside and watch from the window....we did watch the city fireworks and she kinda enjoyed those ones...We had a great 4th my sister and her family came down here and stayed with us and we went swimming had a barbeque and watched fireworks. We also went to Mesquite and ate at a buffet and lost a few bucks in the slot machines.

I was 4 years old living in Orem, Utah going to pre-school and being babysat by Heather's mom had a boyfriend named Dawayne....I played a-lot of house, school, and made a lot of different forts and loved being outside in the snow....

I was 14 hung out with Nicole and Jolynne a lot I was playing on 3 soccer teams. I was obsessed with x-96 the radio station. I think my boyfriend was a guy named Kevin....not sure went through too many.....lol

I was in college playing soccer.....hung out with Wes a lot and I think I was working at New Freedom Mortgage as a loan officer. I also moved to Saint George for the summer.

I was married for a year and pregnant with Skyla...We lived in Phoenix and almost became Cops but it didn't feel right and moved to Saint George.

I found out I was pregnant with our second little girl....was working at a gym and was going swimming and out to lunch a lot with Rici and Niki and their kids.

Yesterday
I was in Orem and went and got a pedicure with my sister and mom....went to lunch and had a birthday party for my dad and let skyla stay up til 11 so she could play with her cousins....

Today...
We were in the car driving home from Orem got home and we all took a 3 hour nap we were exhausted! I made a frozen pizza for dinner and I actually went running...I felt like sucha slob....

Tomorrow
I am going to do homework in the morning go to the gym if i get a chance I have to go meet a therapist and case worker to place a girl in our company and I am nervous and don't know what to wear. We will probably do something fun for family night like go to a park or swimming.

3 months old!!!

Kambry LaRae 3 months old
I can't get enough of her chubby cheeks and dimple!
Skyla loves swimming so much but was refusing to take a bath the other day unless she had her floatees on it was really funny!

I can't believe my little baby girl is 3 months old...she is now smiling so stinkin cute all the time and she is such a happy wonderful baby girl...unless of course she is hungry...She sleeps from 930 to 330 and then wakes to eat and falls back asleep til 7 or 8 and then will eat again and sleep until 10 or eleven....she is such a wonderful blessing in out lives and I can't believe how fast time the time goes!
Things have been super busy in our lives lately we have had a couple new girls come into our program down here and it has been way hectic getting everyone ready for them and I am so excited to have these girls down here! I hope that they are ready to change their lives for the better.
We are also super busy doing school and are getting closer everyday to finishing up....it will be so nice to take that stress out of my life when we finish only 5 months to go about!!!!
As for the baby weight...it has been so much harder the second time around! I have 6 pounds left to go and it gets so discouraging....I hate the stress of weight!!! I hate always thinking about what I should and shouldn't eat....and trying to figure out time to get to the gym and leaving the kids it is really stressful! it is sooo hard to get back into good eating habits after being pregnant....

Memorial Day Fun!

Okay so not the greatest picture...but I had to run a 5k for a college class i am taking and so I went out and tried to run a 5k a couple weeks ago....like on the 17th and I actually finished 1st overall in the womens division....and my age category....and when I was coming in for the last stretch the Rocky theme song came on....it was hard to fight the urge to throw the Rocky punches.....but i didn't even do it very fast...all the serious runners were running the 10k....but I still felt good about it
The girls in the bed in Mesquite.....Skyla has this thing about trying to share everything with Kambry and it is funny to watch she makes fake eating noses and drinking noses for her...it will be interesting to see how she reacts when Kambry will be able to really eat....
Wes and SKyla just vegging out in the bed at the motel....it was sooo muchfun!!!

Well we went to Mesquite over the Memorial Day/Wes's birthday weekend...it was sooo much fun we had both kids with us and went swimming and ate way more food then we needed to...the buffets are only 6.50 at lunch time which is super cheap so we ate it up!!!! We have also been busy with our classes for the summer semester......but it is nice to feel like the end is in sight!!! I also recently had the opportunity to take up a little part-time job at the rec-center in town....I love staying at home and being able to do work from home but Skyla needs to get out and be with kids other then her cousins and her few friends....it is also a great learning opportunity for her to learn how to share and have rules....so I seriously got hooked up with a pretty sweet gig at the daycare....they pay 10 bucks an hour no taxes taken out as well as bringing both my kids a free pass for Wes and myself...and Skyla can play with a bunch of toys and make a big mess that isn't at my house!!!

What has been up lately!

This is one of the coolest parks around...it has a man-made river with tons of rocks as well as a big splash pad....skyla kept pulling her swim suit half way down that day...I asked her why she was doing that and she said to be like boys.....I am in trouble
We are working on potty training her and I just thought this was a funny picture of her in panty's and my slippers...she is absolutely obsessed with shoes...
Kambry....likes to spit up all the time...I have learned to live with smelling like rotten milk

Well...lets see so much has been going on!! One more semester of college is over and yes I did get straight A's well if you count 1 A minus.....and moving onto summer semester...I can't wait til December to be graduated!!! Mother's day was great....lol...I got a zune for anyone that doesn't knwo what it is..it is mocrosofts version of the ipod....it is really cool....Wes also surprised me with flowers....and i really mean surprise on sat night we were at the store and he was like i forgot to get you flowers what kind do you want....lol....you can imagine what kind of coversation that turned into...turns out he really had some...We have also been super busy having so much fun in the warm spring weather...Wes thinks I am totally nuts because I love taking the kids out to different parks and places all the time...I am not a homebody and just love doing fun new things with my kids...although our 2 year old has become so smart she is so particular about the roads I take and which way I turn...she knows pretty much every store and place there is in Saint George....if I drive by Target, Wal-mart, any park, even the Dr's office she throws fits to stop and go to them...and trust me it is very hard to not give into them....well Kambry is now 2 months old and I can't believe how fast it has gone by....she went from 8 lbs 3 oz at birth to 12 lbs 5 oz...and 18.5 in to 23 in......I won't lie she is a chubby baby and is not shy about eating....I love it though...her cute little fat rolls are so adorable!!!!

blessing day

ha ha what a random picture...i wanted a different one...oh well!
All the cousins playing with chalk during the party

This was before the blessing at 8 in the morning!
Kambry was exhausted from her big day!

Kambry was blessed today and it was such a fun weekend! All of the cousins came down to Saint George to get away from the cold up north! We had a packed weekend! All the kids slept over at my house on friday....boy that was a night getting all 6 of them to bed they made it by eleven and unfortunately woke up at 7 the next morning! We also took all the kids to get pictures that was a challenge and will probably never happen again with 6 kids under 5! We went swimming Saturday afternoon and Skyla loved it! We went to a buffet Saturday night as a family and then those that wanted to watch the Jazz game came over and watched it at our place. Sunday was such a wonderful day...Wes gave sucha good blessing and everyone noticed that he blessed the baby to sleep through the night! I made pulled bbq pork and chicken salad sandwiches as well as pasta salad, pretzel jell-o salad, fruit, muffins, and for desert a cake from costco! We had a great turn out with our families and friends!
